4.5m on ET70 at Lancing with Tim79. Rising tide lapping around the rock groynes gave just enough room for the onshore beach start, but no time for standing around between waves. Swell was surprisingly chunky given that it looked quite small from the beach. Head high would be a fair call, but I suspect that a few of the lunging peaks were above that. On the wave was smooth as a peach, with shelter from the wind allowing some risky clew first down wind riding. Quite intimidating out there!!
